We all await the outcome of the Governments intervention and proposed changes to the planning system to see if it will eventually benefit our clients. My own thoughts are that sadly it will be more about what will be permitted, such as green belt development, rather than the planning process very much as it was the last time the system was revised.

Are You Considering Buying a Grade 2* Listed Building?
ANY works that may materially affect to the importance of the listed building requires listed building consent. That means inside and out! If you carry out works that require listed building consent without getting it it is a criminal offence!
There are no hard and fast rules on what would and wouldn’t require consent as what is considered important varies from building to building. I can only advise that you speak to the conservation officer at your local council
Having spent 4 years with Going Places designing and producing the shop fitting plans Setsquare Solutions Limited were asked to work on projects after redundancy

We were employed to fit out a Victorian building in Chippenham into a high class health and beauty salon. Setsquare Solutions Limited undertook the design, outline and detailed construction drawings for the project and submitted plans for both planning and building regulations.
The project was to carry out a rear extension to enlarge the kitchen and add a conservatory area and to add a bedroom. Setsquare Solutions Limited designed and submitted the schemes for planning and building regulations.
The project was a garden/pool room and room in the roof over an existing garage in the grounds of a Grade II listed building. Setsquare Solutions Limited designed the building and carried out the building regulations and detail design and construction drawings to satisfy the planning conditions.
